Banshkhali Times – Banshkhali Municipality has announced a budget of Tk 102 crore 8 lakh 8 thousand 5 hundred 39 for the fiscal year 2020-2021. Mayor of Banshkhali Municipality Sheikh Selimul Haque Chowdhury announced the budget this afternoon.
After the announcement of the budget, a discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Sheikh Selimul Haque Chowdhury. Banshkhali MP and Upazila Awami League President Alhaj Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury MP and Baharchhara UP Chairman and Upazila Juba League President Prof Tajul Islam, Chambal UP Chairman Mujibul Haque Chowdhury, Banshkhali Municipality Panel Mayor and Municipal Councilor Delwar Hossain were the chief guests. Councilor Rujia Sultana Ruji, Councilor Dilip Chakraborty, Councilor Abdur Rahman, Councilor Nazrul Kabir Sikder, Councilor Azgar Hossain, Awami League leader Jamal Uddin, Tapan Das Gupta, President of Miarbazar Business Association Mohamudul Islam and Gias Kamal Chowdhury were present.
Speaking as the chief guest, Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury MP said, “I do not do politics to change my destiny but to change the destiny of the common people. I have not found any desire in personal life. I am always by the side of the people of Banshkhali. ‘ He also called upon all concerned to work more sincerely for the development of the municipality.
